Day Seven

ONE WEEK OLD!

I'm one week old today! A lot has happened in the past week - met a lot of people... been in and out of clinics... slept... ate... cried... 'voided' ...I'm healthy!

Today, I got two more special visitors: Grandma and Grandpa Sexton (pictured below). They brought over MORE diapers and a toy for Vaughn Torin, who played with it all night. We are loved and spoiled!

Day Six

Grandma Ava

Today, my Grandma Ava leaves. Before I was born, she hopped on a plane from Idaho and got to my house before I was even a few hours old. She helped my mommy not stress through the baby blues period, and she even brought along her little puppy to keep my brother occupied while people awed over me. Thank you SO much for everything Grandma Ava! I can't wait to see you again - SOON! Love you!

Day Five

Today I got circumcised.

Here is a picture of my Dad comforting me. He couldn't go with me to the Doctor's office, but he said he thought of me all day long while he was at work.

Day Four

I am Loved!

My mom's work family threw her a surprise shower on Thursday, June 25. Instead of attending, she had me - as if she had a choice in the matter. Today, she received this picture of her office. Hopefully, I will be able to meet her coworkers and thank them personally.

Later this afternoon, my neighbors welcomed me with more gifts. Here is a pictre of everything I received from friends, family, and the UMC staff. Thank you SO much!

My brother is anxious to test out all the new toys. Make sure you view his blog for some cool and funny updates!!

To the right is a picture of flowers sent by my Aunt Shana. I can't wait to meet her and her hubby (Uncle Chris). They plan to visit at the end of July. Stay tuned for pictures!

Day Three

Tomorrow, I have busy day. Luckily, we were discharged on a Friday, so it gave us the weekend to relax before baby necessities such as my first pediatric appointment. Usually they like to see us newbies within 48 hours. But like I said... weekend. Then, since we're out in town, we might as well pick up a few things we need for the house. My mom really wants a baby monitor so that she can set me in my crib and not worry every five minutes. She also mentioned something about a foam positioner that keeps me in place. I'm a side sleeper, and even though 'they' say to keep babies on their backs, I like to turn to my side. Honestly, I don't think we'll make it out of the Health and Safetly aisle.

Below are pictures of Vaughn Torin and me. He is very gentle. When I grabbed his nose, he laughed and talked about it for the next half hour. Right after my mom took these pictures, he kissed my head. Whenever I cry, he rushes to my crib to make sure I'm okay. I know he's going to be a great older brother.
